Pusha T, Young Thug Clash Over Drake Diss on Pop Smoke Album

The Pusha T track was set to be included on the album's deluxe edition.

Days after the release of Pop Smoke's posthumous album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, controversy erupted over an unreleased track. "Paranoia," featuring Gunna, Young Thug, and Pusha T, was set to be included on the forthcoming deluxe version. After Tuesday morning, the track likely won't be included.

Young Thug took to Instagram to denounce Pusha's verse on the track. Pusha sends thinly-veiled shots at Drake, who is friends with both Gunna and Young Thug.

"I don't respect the Pusha T verse on the song with me and Gunna," he wrote. "Cause I don't have [nothing] to do with y'all beef nor does Gunna, and if I knew that was about him I would've made changes on our behalf."

On the track, Pusha doesn't name Drake specifically but after commenting on "empty threats," he does comment "I might even buy a home out in Mississauga," a city in the Toronto metropolitan area.

Pusha took to Instagram to reply to Thug's comments. According to him, Drake is the reason the song won't appear on the album.

"Aye @youngthug couple things: 1. Don't feel bad, NOBODY knew what the verse was abt. The label heads that stopped it didn't even know. They ONLY ASSUME because HE TOLD them! The same way HE TOLD abt the Ross "Maybach 6" verse. And if HE'LL TELL record executives abt rap verses, God only knows what else HE'LL TELL! I don't deal in Police Work, Police Rappers or Police Niggas!"

Pusha went on to "demand" Steven Victor remove him from the album "to avoid any confusion that may take away from This amazing body of work."
