Pete Davidson Blasts Kanye for Post-Show "Bullying" Rant on 'Saturday Night Live'

Pete Davidson Thanks Kanye for Openly Discussing Mental Health in Alarming Instagram Posts

Davidson made an appearance on SNL last night as fans and friends worried about his well-being.

In the hours leading up to Saturday Night Live's 11:30 airing, Pete Davidson posted a handful of concerning statements to Instagram and promptly deleted his account. Though he was eventually confirmed to be safe by NYPD, and even made an appearance on the show(introducing Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson's second performance,) Davidson's Saturday began with addressing the brief back-and-forth between Kanye and Davidson's ex-fianceé, Ariana Grande, on Twitter earlier in the day.

According to Pitchfork, the comedian thanked West for openly discussing his mental health: "Bravo Kanye West for standing up for yourself and speaking out against mental health. I can’t explain to you enough how difficult and scary it is to be honest about stuff like this. We need people like Kanye. No one should ever point fingers at you for your bravery in speaking about mental health. I’m seriously disgusted.” Davidson continued, “I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last. All I’ve ever tried to do was help people." Going on to state, "I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore.”

Grande shared her support and apologized for the insensitive tweet, which came under fire by West for attempting to capitalize on a moment of vulnerability by pushing a new single.
