Earlier today, Okorafor announced that Who Fears Death has been optioned by HBO and is now in development.

Making the news even more exciting is the fact that George Martin, the mastermind behind Games of Thrones, will be executive producing the news.

Okorafor announced the news on Facebook:

There are a bunch of comments in the Facebook post celebrating the news.

Buried in those comments, is one that Okorafar wrote in which she expanded on the show and what her role will be:

“i am very involved. i also know george well (we met in 2014 and stayed in touch); he’s been a sort of mentor to me through all this. and all those involved know what this story is; onyesonwu is in good good hands.”

This is all just happening so there is no news on when we will see Who Fears Death on HBO.
