Netflix Drops Shocking Trailer for ‘Stranger Things 4’ Vol. 2 Season Finale

On Tuesday, Netflix released the trailer for Stranger Things 4 Vol. 2, with gut-punching adventure and horror to conclude the series.

Stranger Things 4 is almost at the finish line. On Tuesday (June 21), Netflix released the trailer for season four, volume two of the series also announcing that the seasons’ final episodes will have a runtime of nearly four hours.

In the trailer, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) wears a blood-soaked hospital gown while staring into the void, looking towards impending doom ahead. A remix of Kate Bush‘s now-iconic 1985 song “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” also plays while characters prepare to fight the Upside Down to destroy the evil plane and save Hawkins.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, series producer and director Shawn Levy shared more about the action-packed volume two episodes.

“Having seen both those finale episodes, they are as emotional as they are cinematic,” he said. “Holy s***, they are definitely a treat for the eyes, but they punch you right in the heart. So, that’s what I’ll say about that.”

In February, Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers announced that the series would conclude with a fifth and final season, also explaining that season four was the most “challenging season yet.”

“It’s been a little while. With nine scripts, over eight-hundred pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one,” The Duffer Brothers said in a joint statement.

The final episodes of Stranger Things 4 will release on July 1.
