Cohen's tell-all memoir details Trump's unhinged distaste for his presidential predecessor.

Though he's never been shy about expressing vitriol towards Barack Obama, Trump's disdain for the former president allegedly hit unthinkable heights well before he took office.

Previewed in a report from CNN, Michael Cohen's new book, Disloyal: A Memoir, goes to great lengths to depict the depth of Trump's distaste for his presidential predecessor. According to the book, Trump went so far as to hire an actor to portray a "Faux-Bama" for the sole purpose of filming a video in which he "ritualistically belittled the first black president and then fired him." The deranged spectacle is said to have taken place in the birther phase of Trump's campaign, in which he publically challenged Obama's citizenship and birthplace. The book doesn't name the actor who was hired but does include a photo of him facing Trump behind a desk, presumably during the filming of the video. Elsewhere in the book, Cohen described Trump as "a cheat, a liar, a fraud, a bully, a racist, a predator, a con man," who assumed office solely for the personal financial benefit.

Of course, the White House was quick to denounce the claims. In a statement delivered to The Washington Post, press secretary Kayleigh McEnany called Cohen "a disgraced felon and disbarred lawyer, who lied to Congress. He has lost all credibility, and it's unsurprising to see his latest attempt to profit off of lies."

Cohen, who formerly served as Trump's personal attorney and "fixer," plead guilty to eight counts of bank fraud, tax fraud, and campaign finance violations, in 2018. He was sentenced to three years in prison and ordered to pay $50,000 in fines, but was released early due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. He's currently serving the remaining years of sentence under house arrest.
