Michael B. Jordan Returns To Fighting Form In ‘Creed II’ Trailer
The first look at Creed II finds Adonis Creed adjusting to newfound fame and a new challenge in Steven Caple Jr.’s fighting feature film.
Tell you a little story, guys. It was Roots Picnic weekend and I had come into Philly early on a Friday, which is smart for anyone who needs to see the city before getting busy with work. Production is still going on for Creed II, and I am scouring the interwebs to see if we can go check it out. No dice, but we certainly ate great AF courtesy of the good folks at BurgerFi. Fast forward to today, and director Steven Caple Jr.’s fighting feature film, Creed II, has dropped the first look and it pushes the pedal to 200.
Michael B. Jordan returns as Adonis Creed with the sequel picking up after the high-profile fight in the original. Having to adjust to newfound fame, Creed, along with former heavyweight champ Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and his love Bianca (Tessa Thompson), must tackle a new challenge in the form of Ivan Drago’s son. Dolph Lundgren reprises his role as the Soviet boxer who killed Adonis’ father Apollo Creed during an exhibition fight in 1986’s Rocky IV.
His son, played by newcomer Florian Munteanu, has his sights set on Adonis after the first fight and this is sure to be an explosive episode in the Creed series. Ryan Coogler is executive producing the sequel with Creed II powered by a script by Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker and Stallone.
Watch the trailer below and circle Nov. 21 on your calendar as that’s when Creed II hits theaters with another knockout punch.
