Chadwick is tired of your Wakanda forever salutes.
This won’t be surprising to anyone, but Marvel’s Black Panther was the big winner at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards. The movie took home four awards, including Best Movie, Best Performance and Best Hero, which Chadwick Boseman won, and Best Villian, which Michael B. Jordan took home.
The speeches were all great. When Jordan won the award for Best Villain, the actor snuck in a dig at Roseanne Barr, and then said something we all already knew.
Jordan confirmed that Boseman, who played Black Panther, is sick and tired of people telling him Wakanda Forever:
Shout out to Jordan for being a real friend. During Boseman’s speeches, the actor made little mention of the salute. In fact, he used his stage time to honor a real hero. When winning the Best Hero award, Boseman gave James Shaw Jr., who helped stopped the Tennessee Waffle House shooter in April, the award.
