Megan Thee Stallion Is In Talks to Star In Upcoming Adam Sandler Film

A forthcoming Safdie Brothers film, with Uncut Gems star Adam Sandler in the cast, will reportedly co-star Megan Thee Stallion.

Megan Thee Stallion will soon be coming to a theater near you. On Thursday (March 30), Deadline reported that the Traumazine rapper will star alongside Adam Sandler in a forthcoming Netflix film directed by the Sadfie Brothers. Although the plot is under wraps, Sandler, who starred in 2019 Josh and Benny Safdie-directed movie Uncut Gems, recently confirmed that the film will be about sports memorabilia.

"I can't give you — it's in the sports memorabilia world. And I just kind of want them to decide how they want to present it," Sandler told Collider. Uncut Gems, which was praised as a top ten film of 2019 by the National Board of Review, centered Sandler as a Jewish jeweler and gambling obsessive who's relationships – both with his wife and girlfriend – are on the rocks.

While the film would mark Megan's latest big screen venture, the Houston native is no stranger to acting, having appeared in Starz's P-Valley, Disney Plus' She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and NBC's Good Girls. Megan, legal name Megan Pete, recently signed on to star in A24 musical comedy, F***ing Identical Twins, opposite Nathan Lane, Bowen Yang and Megan Mullally.

In an interview with The Cut last year, Pete foretold her plans to become a multi-hyphenate entertainer. "I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director and I’m also going to be a producer,” she said at the time.
