In case you’re just catching up, Disney has spent the weekend dropping new titles we can expect to see on its upcoming streaming platform. Anchored by the Black Panther 2 release date reveal, Marvel, of course, made up the bulk of The Mouse’s announcements.
But on top of Ryan Coogler’s sequel to the hit, at one point, highest-grossing Marvel film ever (and the mountain of other titles announced at San Diego Comic-Con,) the comic book colossus is stacking on a few more for Disney+. Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight will all be hitting the small screen as live-action shows in 2020.
In print, each title was praised by critics and pedestrians alike. Ms. Marvel, in particular, has been lauded for making Kamala Khan, a 13-year-old girl from New Jersey, the first Muslim superhero to headline their own comic book. With their addition to the docket, Disney+ will have seven Marvel series launching by the end of next year, with breakout films for Black Widow and The Eternals also arriving in 2020.
