UPDATE: Season Two of 'Luke Cage' Will Pay Tribute to Pete Rock & CL Smooth

Luke Cage is back in June

Update: Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker annouced that season two episodes of Luke Cage will be named after Pete Rock & CL Smooth songs.

Pete Rock, who apparently didn't know about the honor, posted the season two trailer on his Instagram:

If you remember, the episodes in season one of Luke Cage were named after Gang Starr songs.

"You wanna test me? Step up. I'm right here," Cage declares.

The second season will premiere on June 22. Late last year came set photos from the forthcoming season showing Cage and the Iron Fist working together. One picture showed the two vigilante superheroes in what appears to be a remodeled Harlem's Paradise, the club that belonged to Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes (Mahershala Ali) during the show's first season.

Prior to that, another set photo was released showing Cage with Misty Knight and her new bionic arm. Knight lost one of her arms in The Defenders mini series by villain Bakuto.

In the comics, Knight's bionic arm was designed by Tony Stark and Stark Industries after she lost the limb in a bombing. The arm grants her superhuman strength as well as concussive blasts, magnetism, and technopathy. However, it is unlikely that Stark designed Knight's arm in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the Iron Fist instead taking care of that responsibility.
