Letitia Wright Calls Out Article That Mentions Vaccine Controversy Alongside Alleged Abusive Male Celebs

Actress Letitia Wright has slammed The Hollywood Reporter for comparing her vaccine conspiracies male celebrities accused of assault.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star Letitia Wrightis going after The Hollywood Reporter for publishing an article comparing her vaccination conspiracy theories to "men who have been accused of abuse & sexual misconduct."

On Monday (November 21), the publication shared an article about how Wright, Will Smith, and Brad Pitt's "personal controversy" may affect their chances at an Oscar next year.

Wright immediately hit back in her Instagram Story, even tagging THR executive editor Scott Feinberg.

"I had to unblock @hollywoodreporter just to post this. Scott Feinberg and all at this publication. You're all incredibly disrespectful," Wright wrote in her first post. "How dare you. You mentioned my name alongside men who have been accused of abuse & sexual misconduct. This is vile behavior. At this point a personal vendetta towards me."

In a second Instagram Story, she added, "I've done nothing wrong but respectfully refused to do interviews with this publication. Stop your nonsense. I apologized TWO years ago. Remained silent on the topic. You lied and said I continued talking about it with my cast & crew on my set. THIS WAS NOT TRUE. ASK MY PRODUCER AND DIRECTOR. Your agenda towards me is now even more clear. I won't remain silent. Stop your disgusting behavior."

In a new interview with The Guardian, Wright says she's found a "healthy way" to progress from her 2020 statements on the COVID-19 vaccine. In December of that year, Wright retweeted an anti-vaccination video in an attempt to inform her Twitter followers.

In the article, the actress was questioned about her thoughts on the vaccine, which Wright refused to discuss at length.

"I feel it's something I experienced two years ago and I have in a healthy way moved on. And in a healthy way I've apologized and deleted my Twitter," she said "I just apologized for any hurt that was caused to anybody."

When asked if the retweeted anti-vaccine video reflected her reasoning at the time, Wright responded, "That's exactly what my apology was. It was saying this is not me, and I apologize."

The reporter, Simon Hattenstone, also asked if Wright had been vaccinated for COVID-19.

She replied, "I have apologized and I have moved on. Next question. Thanks."

Hattenstone's questions echo a recent Variety profile on Wakanda Forever, where a publicist for Wright immediately shut down any questions about her vaccination status.
