Kenneka Jenkins' Mother Says Police Tried To Arrest Her As She Searched Hotel For Her Daughter
Members of Kenneka Jenkins' family recently appeared on an episode of The Dr. Oz Show to talk about the Chicago teen's mysterious death.

Tereasa Martin and Leonore Jenkins, Kenneka Jenkins' mother and sister, respectively, appeared on Mehmet Oz's TV show Tuesday afternoon, where the two revealed that the police targeted them when they arrived at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare Hotel and Conference Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
"They came to arrest us," Leonore said around the 4:52 mark. "That's how the police came."
"Leonore and the rest of the family members, they go upstairs, one of the kids pulled this fire drill thinking that everybody will run out but they didn't." Martin added. "So they knocked on doors and they had their phones with Kenneka's picture asking them 'Did y'all see her?'"
"They came to arrest us," Martin said. "With K9s...They asked me what was going on. They have no clue that a young girl even came up missing."
This past weekend, Martin spoke with Chicago radio station 107.5 WGCI and said that there was a camera above the freezer Jenkins was found in.
"There was a camera directly over this freezer," Martin said. "…At the closing of the meeting I asked the detective as well as the sergeant and the sergeant said aggressively 'There wasn't no camera' so I guess the camera disappeared too."
"So you're saying there was definitely a camera there," one of the radio hosts asks Martin.
"It was definitely a camera there," she responds.
Rosemont police have decided to close the case, saying that they found no evidence that Jenkins was the victim of foul play.
"Our detective reported no signs of foul play throughout the whole investigation," Police Chief Donald Stephens III said in a statement. "There is no evidence that Ms. Jenkins was forced to drink alcohol or consume any narcotics while at the hotel."
