"This is my book that I'm writing in real time," he tweeted Wednesday morning. "No publisher or publicist will tell me what to put where or how many pages to write. This is not a financial opportunity this is an innate need to be expressive."

"I will work on this 'book' when I feel it," he concluded with.

West had first mentioned that he was working on Break the Simulation during an interview with legendary interior designer Axel Vervoordt for the Hollywood Reporter. He initially described the book as follows:

"And I’ve got this philosophy — or let’s say it’s just a concept because sometimes philosophy sounds too heavy-handed. I’ve got a concept about photographs, and I’m on the fence about photographs — about human beings being obsessed with photographs — because it takes you out of the now and transports you into the past or transports you into the future. It can be used to document, but a lot of times it overtakes [people]. People dwell too much in the memories. People always wanna hear the history of something, which is important, but I think it there’s too much of an importance put on history."

Shortly after that, the artist returned to Twitter after an 11-month absence, writings tweets such as "Some people have to work within the existing consciousness while some people can shift the consciousness," and "When you first wake up don't hop right on the phone or the internet or even speak to anyone for even up to an hour if possible. Just be still and enjoy your own imagination. It's better than any movie."
