White Bank Executive Wears Blackface and MAGA Hat for Kanye Costume

Source: TMZ

Here we go again.

Blackface on Halloween is apparently still a thing.

South Carolina native, Bryan Lenertz is the latest practitioner. The Anderson Brothers Bank executive dressed in blackface for a Kanye West costume— wearing a MAGA hat with shutter shades, a camouflage jacket and a chain, while his wife dressed as Kim Kardashian.

According to a report in The Root, an anonymous source revealed photos of Lenertz’s costume and a Facebook screenshot of comments from his peers who appeared to praise the costume. The source reportedly asked The Root, “I wonder if [Lenertz] ever denied a loan to a person of color.”

An employee from the Horry County area bank reportedly responded to The Root’s request for comment saying the request had to be forwarded to executive management “to be handled.”

Last week, Megyn Kelly was removed from her NBC talk show following comments she made in defense of blackface.
