During CinemaCon on Wednesday, Jordan Peele hopped on stage to tease his third film Nope and explain the meaning behind its title.

Jordan Peele season is almost upon us. On Wednesday, the director stopped by CinemaCon at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to preview never-before-seen footage from his third directed film Us and explain the meaning of the film's title.

"I love a rapt audience saying, ''Nope!' or, 'Get out the house!' I love to encourage that interaction because that's what's giving the audience a unique experience," Peele said, per Entertainment Weekly. "Rollercoasters aren't fun alone. Being scared isn't fun alone. You need that energy."

Peele also shared that the horror film was shot in 65mm in IMAX, giving him the ability to "capture footage unlike anything before" and use "new techniques never seen before."

"This film is definitely a ride. The title speaks to the idea of being in tune with what the audience is thinking and feeling in the theater," Peele continued. "I know a lot of people who say, when it's a scary movie, they say, 'Nope!' Especially Black audiences, right? We love horror but there's a skepticism."

Nope marks Peele's second film with Daniel Kaluuya, who stars alongside a star-studded cast including Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea and  Michael Wincott. Kaluuya and Palmer star as a pair who works on Hollywood’s only Black-owned horse training ranch and the film follows residents of a California town who bears "witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery."
