Joe Budden Partners With Diddy’s Revolt TV For New Show “State of the Culture”
The deal is finally done as Diddy (aka Love) and Joe Budden announce their latest venture—a new show called State of the Culture for Revolt TV.
The e-streets have been waiting for this moment ever since Everyday Struggle started to really struggle. According to Billboard, Diddy and Joe Budden have finally come to terms on their deal for a new show—State of the Culture—to air exclusively on REVOLT TV.
“Finally, Joe Budden is officially part of the REVOLT family,” says REVOLT Chairman Sean “Diddy” Combs. “Joe has an authentic approach and he’s never afraid to speak the truth. His many talents deserve a platform that pushes the culture forward and we are excited to produce next-level content with him.”
Fans of the outspoken lyricist were expecting this move after he departed from his role as co-host of Complex’s Everyday Struggle. Budden was seen on Twitter and heard on his own podcast fielding offers, most notably from Combs and REVOLT. With this new partnership, Budden will host and produce State of the Culture, which is slated to premiere this summer.
“It was important to partner with a company that recognizes the growing need for our voices and ideas to stream freely without interruption. That was a much pretty way to say, we ‘bout to be with the shits,” Joe Budden told Billboard. According to REVOLT, State of the Culture will look to deliver “raw, unfiltered and informative debates and interviews where Budden digs deep with prominent celebrities, artists, and personalities.”
“We are excited to launch a new era of REVOLT content with Joe Budden,” adds REVOLT CEO Roma Khanna. “This is just the beginning of more great things to come as REVOLT leads from the center of hip-hop culture.”
