Two months ago, New York City’s own Rice & Gold on Bowery Street was the site of a sight to behold, as award-winning DJ/Producer J.PERIOD, chef/founding member of A Tribe Called Quest, Jarobi White, and celebrity chef Dale Talde threw down for the “Native Brunch” party-and-event.
Now, as the warm weather slowly creeps in, clothes become shorter and bellies become hungrier — the trio reconnects for another creative installment that blends good eats with good beats. We are ecstatic to announce that round two of this imaginative episode will kick off April 22 with a celebration of OutKast’s third studio album, Aquemini, which turns 20 this year.
“Skew It On The BBQ: OutKast Brunch” will find J.PERIOD, Jarobi White and Dale Talde catering some small bites that are plenty filling, plus celebrating the one-year anniversary of J.PERIOD’s OutKast: ReFixed Mixtape and the highly-anticipated upcoming mixtape release, J.PERIOD Presents #WakandaForeverEver. This is a special one-time brunch event, so that means you need to get your tickets ASAP. Trust me, I know that this is going to be an epic adventure because those tracks from OutKast’s discography are type banging, but also because limited seat will force those Johnny-and-Jane-Come-Latelys to hear the good times from street level.
