J.Cole Keeps Up the Hot Streak With "Punchin' the Clock" Video

J.Cole returns with the third video from his The Off-Season album.

On Thursday, J.Cole kept his foot on the gas, dropping the video for "Punchin' the Clock," his third set of visuals from his latest album, The Off-Season. Once again, Cole teamed up with videographer Scott Lazer for the video, which takes place throughout Manhattan. Stream the "Punchin the Clock" video below.

In the video, Cole hails a cab in SoHo, and rides around the city, stopping only to grab some food from a local halal cart at the end of the journey. One lucky cabdriver gets an earful of the Mario Luciano and Tae Beast-produced track.

Cole and Lazer previously worked together on the "Applying Pressure" video (and the album's accompanying documentary of the same name), but the two go back even further. Lazer directed the visuals for Cole's 2014 Forest Hill Drive and KOD tours, as well as Dreamville signee Ari Lennox's Shea Butter Baby tour.

Lazer also provided creative direction for J.I.D.'s performance on The Tonight Show with BJ the Chicago Kid and Thundercat. The New Orleans native has also worked with Daniel Caesar and Tierra Whack, directed documentaries, narrative films, and contributed to stage design for live concerts.

Cole recently opened up about his experience in the Basketball Africa League's Rwanda Patriots. Though his season ended early due to a family obligation, he thanked his teammates and coaches for treating him "like family."

"Thank you to everybody that had kind words for me," he wrote on Instagram on Friday. "Despite my inexperience. I plan to get better."
