Hulu bested Netflix by getting the classic ‘90s sitcom, Living Single, plus the entire ABC TGIF lineup for streaming.

A dream has finally come true as Hulu, the popular streaming service, has announced that Living Single will be available for watching starting tomorrow, Jan. 11.
The groundbreaking ‘90s television, which inspired NBC’s Friends to be a pale-white rip-off, starred Queen Latifah, Kim Fields, Kim Coles, Erika Alexander, T.C. Carson and John Henton as best friends living life and experiencing love in New York City.

Hulu made the announcement Tuesday evening from its official Twitter account, saying, “It’s a ‘90s kind of world. Again. Living Single, the entire series, streams January 11, only on Hulu.” That’s right black America, all five seasons, all memories, the late Heavy D, the roasting sessions between Maxine and Kyle are all there and ready to be viewed by anxious and hopeful eyes.

I think there should be a call to watch this together as a #BlackTwitter family. Get April Reign on the phone!

To make matters even more happy for black people, Hulu also acquired the rights to all of the shows from ABC’s classic “TGIF” lineup back in July. So, in addition to Living Single, you can watch Full House, Family Matters, Step By Step, Perfect Strangers and Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper.

This is the first time that Living Single has been available on any streaming service, and we hope that this isn’t the last one that returns to our hearts.
