Even Tom Holland Wants Miles Morales' Spider-Man in the MCU

The Spider-Man: No Way Home star seems like he's ready to hang up the suit.

A month away from the release of his sixth film in the role, Tom Holland is hoping the multiverse might just phase him out of being (the only) Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to a new interview withGQ, the 25-year-old actor isn't so sure he can be all that friendly of a neighborhood web-slinger if he's still suiting up at 30. "Maybe it is time for me to move on," Holland laments as the discussion pivots towards what the actor believes his post-Spider-Man trajectory might look like and how the MCU should proceed. At one point, Holland even suggests it's time for Marvel to bring Miles Morales into the MCU proper. "Maybe what’s best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film."

Elsewhere in the interview, Holland either flat out debunks rumors of his predecessors, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, joining him in a prospective final outing in the blue and red, or attempts to throw fans off the scent, which has only intensified with the release of a new trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the latest (and presumably final,) preview for the film, villains from both Garfield and Maguire's respective tenures slip through the multiverse and into whichever reality No Way Home takes place in. And that has people suspecting the Peter Parkers of those movies won't be too far behind. Suppose we'll just have to wait and see who pops up, though.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is out on December 17th. And though the film will mark the end of Holland's contract with Marvel, we haven't seen anywhere near the last of Spidey, as the studio is reportedly already working on another film trilogy on top of the multi-season animated origin story, Spider-Man: The Freshman Years, which was announced last week on Disney+ Day.
