Doja Cat Debuts New Music, Tells Fans Not to "Quit" During Coachella 2022 Performance

During her Coachella set on Sunday, Doja Cat discouraged fans from quitting although she previously announced in March her plans to retire.

Could Doja Cat be reneging on her decision to retire? During her Coachella set on Sunday, the rapper discouraged her audience from quitting, although last month, she announced plans to retire.

"Coachella, don't give up. Don't quit. Believe in yourself. I love you," Doja said, according to Insider.

Doja's all-star set Coachella set also included Rico Nasty, who assisted Doja with their collaboration "Tia Tamera" and Tyga for the remix of "Juicy." The rapper also gave a debut performance of new song "Vegas" from the upcoming Elvis Presley biopic.

On-brand with her Taco Bell partnership, Doja announced that the once-discontinued Mexican pizza from Taco Bell is making a comeback.

In since-deleted tweets from March, Doja announced her retirement from music after being criticized for not greeting fans in Paraguay. During the Paraguay’s Asunciónico festival, Doja's set was cancelled due to flooding, per Billboard.

“It’s gone and i don’t give a fuck anymore i fuckin' quit i can’t wait to fuckin' disappear and i don’t need you to believe in me anymore,” she wrote, adding, “Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and i’m a fuckin' fool for ever thinking i was made for this this is a fuckin' nightmare unfollow me.”

The rapper maintained that she'll still hit the road with The Weeknd for his stadium tour beginning in July.

"I'm not bailing. But me not bailing doesn't mean my ass isn't gonna disappear right after," Doja tweeted. "I still got shit I gotta do. and a lot of y'all think cuz I post a fuckin' picture it means I'm not out. Pic doesn't = music GOOFY."

"I'm pooping it out and dipping," she added. "I ain't gone yet."

Doja Cat will support The Weeknd for the After Hours Til Dawn Tour beginning July 8th in Toronto.
