Chaka Khan, Oprah Winfrey, Timbaland, and more joined the party.

DJ D-Nice is on fire and he doesn’t seem to be cooling down any time soon. On Wednesday, the Bronx native hosted another Instagram Live session.

This time around, he and Michelle Obama arranged the party in collaboration with the former First Lady’s voter registration organization When We All Vote.

D-Nice’s set featured funk, R&B, and house jams from Stevie Wonder, Stephanie Mills, Prince, James Brown, and more. Mrs. Obama even chimed in “that’s my jam!” when D-Nice played the 1992 house track “Follow Me” by Aly-Us.

Before the party got started, the goal was to get 50,000 people registered to vote. According to a When We All Vote spokesperson, 407,824 eligible voters texted the group. Nearly 13,000 either started or completed the registration process.

The comment section was once again star-studded. Chaka Khan, Janelle Monae, Vanessa Williams, and more showed up. 61,000 viewers in total were in attendance.

When We All Vote is a non-profit bipartisan organization that aims to raise turnout in each election. The group was launched in July 2018 by co-chairs including Michelle Obama, Selena Gomez, Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Janelle Monae, and Lin Manuel-Miranda.

DJ D-Nice recently joined CBS This Morning with Gayle King to discuss the sudden boost in popularity from Club Quarantine. TIDAL has also condensed the series into a 15-hour streaming playlist.

On Thursday, D-Nice announced an exclusive Homeschool Playlist in partnership with Spotify. “I am honored and humbled to partner with Spotify on the official Homeschool Playlist,” he said. “This list will rotate on songs that are guaranteed to make listeners dance and enjoy themselves. Stay tuned for more updates to this list.” Stream the playlist below.
