Diddy & Swizz Beatz Rally Behind Kanye West Amid Adidas Feud

After Ye alleged that Adidas exploited his designs, fellow hip-hop moguls Swizz Beatz and Diddy have given the Donda 2 rapper their support.

Diddy and Swizz Beatz aren’t letting Ye stand alone. Days after the Donda 2 rapper-producer aired out fashion design company Adidas for allegedly copying his Yeezy designs, Swizz and Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, came to Ye’s defense on Instagram.

On Monday (September 5) Swizz called for an Adidas boycott on Instagram with a post of fake black and orange Yeezys with a red ‘X’ drawn through them.

Swizz wrote in the caption, “I usually mind my business but this is DEAD WRONG! If we let them do this to @kanyewest it will happen to us also! This man created this groundbreaking innovation and it should be respected as a creative !”

He added, “YE is only asking for his work to be respected and not stolen that’s not crazy to me !! We not buying these !!!!!!!!!!!! @adidas you’re supposed to be original do the correct thing please !!!”

Allies who commented in support under the post included Ye’s manager Abou ‘Bu’ Thiam, Rapsody, T.I., music executive Dre London and Ye himself, who re-shared the original post with “That’s love” as the caption.

In a separate Instagram post, Combs shared a text message screenshot between himself and Ye, vowing to “never wear Adidas again” if the company didn’t reconcile with the 21-time Grammy Award winner.

“Since the era of Run-DMC, @Adidas has always used Hip Hop to build its brand and make billions off of our culture,” Combs wrote in the caption. “BUT WE ARE MORE THAN JUST CONSUMERS NOW, WE’RE THE OWNERS. @KanyeWest and YEEZY are the reason Adidas is relevant to culture. WE KNOW OUR VALUE! I’m done wearing Adidas products until they make this right!! We have to support each other!! Everybody repost this please!!

“Praise God. Love you,” Ye responded in a text message.

Combs and Ye last connected publicly during the BET Awards 2022 when the Bad Boy Records founder was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Presenting the award to Combs, Ye shared his admiration of Diddy during the ’90s.

“This man was so famous, it was just good enough for me to be Chicago’s version of Puff,” Ye said.
