Trump Supporter Kanye West Tells David Letterman He Didn't Vote For Trump

Although David Letterman's interview with Kanye West as a part of his Netflix series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction has yet to hit the streaming platform, there are already reports of what the pair talks about during the hour-long conversation.

In a report from The Daily Beast, the two discuss a range of topics, and Letterman even gets to try on pieces from West's Yeezy collection and attend one of his Sunday Services. Among the notable exchanges the two have are about Donald Trump. West vocalized his support for Trump throughout last year, even saying that Trump's "Make America Great Again" hat "made me feel like Superman."
During his talk with Letterman, West says of the current president: "This is like my thing with Trump — we don't have to feel the same way, but we have the right to feel what we feel."
He adds that when he wears his MAGA hat it's "not about politics" but an attempt to break the stigma around supporting Trump.
From there, Letterman asks West if he voted for Trump, to which the artist responds that he's never voted.
"Then you don't have a say in this," Letterman responds.
Elsewhere, the two also discuss West's struggles with mental health.
"When you"re bipolar, you have the potential to ramp up and it can take you to a point where you start acting erratic, as TMZ would put it," West says, alluding to his on-air appearance at the TMZ offices last year.
The artist then goes on to reveal he has been off medication for nearly a year before speaking further about being bipolar.
"If you guys want these crazy ideas and these crazy stages and this crazy music and this crazy way of thinking," he says, "there's a chance if might come from a crazy person."
Letterman's interview with West, as well as several others including Ellen DeGeneres, Tiffany Haddish, will be available on Netflix May 31.
