Dave Chappelle, 2 Chainz, T.I. & Westside Gunn Link Up for an Instagram Live Broadcast

T.I. introduced Dave Chappelle as the next governor of Ohio.

Over the weekend, Dave Chappelle took a trip to Atlanta, where he performed six sets at the Atlanta Comedy Theater in Norcross. The shows were all star-studded events, with celebrities like T.I., 2 Chainz, and more showing up. T.I. broadcasted from Instagram live during the event, showing up with a special gift for the Grammy-winning comedian. Stream the full video below.

After T.I. introduced him as the “future governor of Ohio,” Chappelle replied “never” and took control of the broadcast. He said he’d spent most of the day with T.I. The two were joined by a few big names, like Westside Gunn, D.L. Warfield, and 2 Chainz.

“This is a very special and important moment,” Tip continued, “in appreciation to Dave’s contribution to the culture, myself and D.L. Warfield…have brought a physical piece.” The painting, labeled “Blouses!” in a nod to Chappelle and Charlie Murphy’s legendary Prince True Hollywood Stories sketch, depicts Prince taking a jump shot over the outstretched hands of one LeBron James.

T.I. gives a bit of information on Warfield’s background in the video. The artist designed the artwork for OutKast’s second album, ATLiens, as well as TLC’s Fanmail, T.I.’s I’m Serious, and many more.

In addition to the outdoor comedy shows he performed in Ohio over the summer, Chappelle has been quietly filming shows in the past few months. Fans can expect to see the official footage surface on a streaming service at some point in the near future.
