Dan Aykroyd’s film would be called Soul Sisters and he gave his pitch for Cardi B and Tiffany Haddish to star to TMZ.

Blues Brothers is an American classic film, which brought some of the best musicians in the game together for an action-packed, music-filled adventure. Thanks to the brilliance of Dan Aykroyd, it seems that he has another great idea in the works… this time starring the comedic duo of Cardi B and Tiffany Haddish.

Speaking exclusively with TMZ, the actor wants to create a Blues Brothers spin-off called Soul Sisters, which would be led by the two budding superstars, and it seems all he is waiting for is studio approval and a budget to play with. “I like it, I like it,” said Aykroyd. “Yeah, come on, hey, get me some producers, you know what I mean?”

The actor-and-director sounded very serious with his intentions to make this movie, saying that the film is prepared and waiting for a studio to greenlight it. “It’s all up there! It’s all up there. It’s sitting on five desks in town.” Albeit it sounds like Dan is noticing the wave, he does seem encouraged to get the ladies on the horn and talk turkey. “I’m gonna find out who manages them right away!” Aykroyd said. “That’s my next call.”

With a few other from online to big screen projects seemingly in the works (Lupita Nyong’o and Rihanna’s film comes to mind) — we really hope to see this come to fruition. Haddish and Bartier Cardi both have very dynamic personalities that when ramped up to 100,000, create magic and hilarity all along the way. Should these two actually respond and come aboard the project, it would be well worth Hollywood to support.

Make it happen, internets. You got the juice to make it so.
