Cop Tickets To See Oprah, Trevor Noah At Inaugural Tribeca TV Festival
The first annual Tribeca TV Festival will feature driving conversations from Oprah Winfrey, Trevor Noah, plus the premiere of YouTube Red’s Pillow Talk series.
With five-to-six months to go before the next Tribeca Film Festival extravaganza, it seems like the folks behind the popular experience want to provide another dose of culture for the masses. Enter: Tribeca TV Festival. The inaugural event, presented by AT&T, is focusing on bringing driving conversations from some of the entertainment world’s best and brightest.
Set to appear and share their voices are Oprah Winfrey, who will premiere her new OWN series Released, which chronicles formerly-incarcerated men and women who are restarting their lives. Trevor Noah and selected writers from The Daily Show are slated to also have an engaging talk about the role of comedians in today’s political landscape. And last, but certainly not least, Blackpills’ sex comedy web-series fueled by YouTube Red will be making its season premiere, while Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television makes its world premiere.
The three-day event will bring people together to discover new television series, see new episodes of returning shows and hear interesting things from interesting people. In addition to all of that a cast and creator reunion for NBC’s Will & Grace will happen, while the midseason premiere of Queen Sugar and sneak peeks at Better Things and Gotham should be highlights for the first annual Tribeca TV Festival.
Tickets for the programmed event went on sale, Wednesday, Sept. 6, and can be purchased online at http://www.tribecafilm.com/tvfestival. The Tribeca TV Festival will take place from Sept. 22 – Sept. 24 in New York City.
