Tuesday, November 3rd marks one of the more important Election Days in recent memory, and many members of the entertainment industry are encouraging fans to exercise their rights.
Despite a few shocking endorsements of Donald Trump from artists in recent weeks, the vast majority of music industry figures are endorsing the Democratic ticket of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Some are going beyond the general election and endorsing Senate candidates in their home states.
Here’s a roundup of celebrities who have exercised their right to vote in the 2020 election.
Oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali linked up with DJ Scratch, recreating the iconic cover of EPMD’s 1989 album Unfinished Business to tell fans to vote.
The Atlanta MC spoke and performed at a Joe Biden-Kamala Harris campaign event on Monday. Shortly after, he and his family took pictures with former President Barack Obama. “Some of [y’all] know how jelly I been over the years not meeting Obama,” he wrote, “but that is now history and something to scratch off my bucket list.”

He’s a fair & honest guy who has a genuine passion for helping the people.”
In addition to endorsing Warnock and Ossoff, Killer Mike also endorsed a down-ballot referendum (HB344) for tax exemptions for certain charities in-state.
The Charlotte MC partnered with the #NoCap2020 campaign to increase voting turnout in his hometown. He hosted a statewide bus tour, social media program, and events during the early voting period as well. DaBaby will show up at ten different locations in the city. Voters in Charlotte will also be able to get free Lyft rides to the polls using the code VOTEWITHDABABY.
The legendary Houston MC encouraged his followers to vote, but also advised them that the work doesn’t stop on election day. “Regardless of who wins,” he wrote, “the real work continues. Whoever is president needs to know that the fight to liberate people of color from their oppression continues on. We won’t stop.”
Despite his attempt to create a bipartisan Black political party, Diddy made it clear that he was in favor of voting Donald Trump out this time around.
