Brandy Hospitalized After Possibly Suffering a Seizure

On Wednesday, R&B icon and actress Brandy was hospitalized in Los Angeles after suffering from a possible seizure at her home.

Prayers up for Brandy. On Wednesday (October 12), R&B's undisputed "Vocal Bible" was hospitalized after allegedly experiencing a possible seizure at her home in Los Angeles. The singer and actress, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, is now recovering in a local hospital, but TMZ reports that an EMS call was made to her residence.

After the news broke, Brandy sent out a message on Twitter thanking her fans for the support. She also said she was getting rest due to "Dehydration and low amounts of nutrition."

It's unclear if Norwood has medical issues or stress, but earlier this month, her brother Ray J posted concerning videos on Instagram. “If it wasn’t 4 my Kidz I would jump off and die tonight,” the 41-year-old captioned a since-deleted clip last Thursday (October 6.)

Brandy later posted an image of her and Ray J with the caption "Need you bro."

The news of the 43-year-old former Queens star being hospitalized comes nearly two months she was casted in forthcoming A24 psychological horror film The Front Room. The film, based on a short story from author Susan Hill, centers a “young, newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family.”

In June, Norwood performed with Jack Harlow at the 2022 BET Awards with her remix of the rapper's hit "First Class." The Grammy-winning vocalist was also featured on a 25th anniversary reimagining of Mariah Carey's 1997 song "The Roof."

"I just love her intonation, and also the way she'll do something sometimes where she sings something and then she has a very specific way she'll trail off at the end. It's her wheelhouse," Carey said about Brandy.
