The Blue Note Jazz Club re-opens with a set of dates between June and August.

This summer, the Blue Note Jazz Club is set to re-open with a set of shows in New York City between the months of June and August. Robert Glasper will kick things off with a show at the Blue Note in Greenwich Village on June 15th. After that, three shows have been set for Central Park's Summerstage: Chris Botti will perform on June 20th, then George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic will hit the stage a week later. Galactic and Anjelika "Jelly" Joseph and MonoNeon will headline the July 11th show. Buy tickets at the Festival web site.

"Reopening the Blue Note and re-establishing the Festival in 2021 is a significant and important step toward restoring the vibrant music community of New York City," Steven Bensusan, president of the label's Entertainment Group said in a statement. The reopening coincides with the 10th year of the festival, and the 40th anniversary of the club's opening.

“We feel immense gratitude and appreciation for the artists performing at the Blue Note as we reopen,” said Alex Kurland, the label's Director of Programming Talent Buyer.

Later dates include Jacob Collier and Friends (June 21), Ghost-Note (on June 22-23), Ravi Coltrane with Orrin Evans, Dezron Douglas, Johnathan Blake on the weekend of June 24th. The summer shows close out with Isaiah Sharkey on August 9th and 10th, Digable Planets putting on two shows on August 11th and 12th, and John Pizzarelli Better Days Ahead (Solo Guitar Takes on Pat Metheny) on August 15th.
