The Embargo Has Been Lifted: Read What Critics are Saying About 'Black Panther'
Black Panther is great; are you surprised?
On Tuesday morning, the embargo for Black Panther was officially lifted. Critics could start releasing their reviews for the Ryan Coogler-directed film.
As of Tuesday, there have been 51 reviews published. All have been positive. The movie is currently sitting with a perfect 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.
Here are some of the things that notable critics have already written about the movie.
Kenneth Turan of the Los Angeles Times wrote:
“We didn’t know we’d been yearning for it until it arrived, but now that it’s here it’s unmistakable that the wait for a film like “Black Panther” has been way longer than it should have been.”
For Variety, Peter Debruge wrote:
“Black Panther celebrates its hero’s heritage while delivering one of Marvel’s most all-around appealing standalone installments to date.”
And Peter Travers, who gave the album four stars in Rolling Stone, wrote:
“Say this about Black Panther, which raises movie escapism very near the level of art: You’ve never seen anything like it in your life.”
Black Panther comes out on February 16th (chances are you know this already.) We’re calling it now: It’s going to break so many box office records.
