Since a video of Nicole Curran, the wife of Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob, leaning over Beyoncé to talk to Jay-Z has gone viral, Curran has said she’s received death threats and even deleted her Instagram over the clip, which appears to show an agitated and annoyed Beyoncé.
Curran has since shared that she was asking Jay-Z if he wanted a lime in his vodka soda after he had asked for a drink. The Warriors had invited him and Beyoncé to their Wednesday night game.
“There was no hostility,” Curran told ESPN‘s Ramona Shelburne. “I was trying to be a good hostess.”
Still, some haven’t let Curran slide, including Stephanie Mills. The singer took to Instagram to share the following post.
Mills’ response has received over 2,500 comments, with some supporting her while others are against the post.
“Yes I agree. If bey was really agitated,” Erykah Badu wrote.

“You are legendary.. your caption is not.. with all due respect..,” singer-songwriter and actor Tank commented.

“Dag Stephanie….that lady didn’t do anything wrong, y’all be reaching and making assumptions….it is not that serious, my goodness. My people,” another user wrote.
Since the incident, Beyoncé’s publicist has asked the singer’s fanbase, commonly known as the Beyhive, to stop bullying Curran.
