New 'Atlanta' Trailer Teases The Crew's Surreal Misadventures In Europe

Weeks ahead of the March 24 premiere, FX releases an official season three trailer for Atlanta, with the crew on a European tour.

The Atlantacrew are taking their antics to Europe. In a new trailer for season three of the series, Earn (Donald Glover), Van (Zazie Beetz), Darius (Lakeith Stanfield) and Paper Boi/Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry) get into misadventures across the pond, from Paper Boi being chased down by fans to Earn being slapped in what appears to be a hotel lobby.

While plot details are under wraps, the trailer shows the four being faced with an apparent culture clash. The FX website does share a brief synopsis of what's to come in the "Visitors" season:

“Taking place almost entirely in Europe, Season 3 finds Earn (Donald Glover), Alfred/Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) in the midst of a successful European tour, as the group navigates their new surroundings as outsiders, and struggle to adjust to the newfound success they had aspired to.”

In February, Glover revealed during an FX executive session that Atlanta will end with its fourth season in 2022.

“Death is natural. I feel like when the conditions are right for something, they happen, and when the conditions aren’t right, they don’t happen. I don’t feel any longevity. Because then things start to get weird,” Glover said. “The story was always supposed to be what it was. And the story, it really was us. “Everybody in that writers’ room, everybody on set. It really was what we were going through and what we talked about. … I think it ends perfectly.”

The ten-episode season three of Atlanta premieres on March 24 on FX. The fourth and final season of the series arrives later this year in the fall.
