Amazing Grace is in theaters on April 5, 2019.

A trailer for the forthcoming Aretha Franklin concert documentary Amazing Grace has been released. The two-minute long clip begins with Franklin singing "Amazing Grace," the audio of her voice trailing different shots of the South Los Angeles New Temple Baptist Church she performed in.

The video brings her 1972 live double-album live album to life, as different scenes not only show Franklin but members of the church watching her sing in awe. The trailer is a testament to the late singer's iconic voice, her singing resulting in cheers, applause, and even some dancing from those present.

A trailer for Amazing Grace was released last year following news that the concert documentary would finally be released.

Directed by Sydney Pollack, Amazing Grace captures two consecutive nights of performance at the New Temple Baptist Church in Watts, backed by Reverend James Cleveland on piano, Bernard Purdie on drums, Cornel Dupree on guitar, and the Southern California Community Choir.

The film was originally supposed to be released in 1972, the same year the album was released. But it was shelved by Warner Bros.
