André 3000 Is Going To Be In A Netflix Movie With Adam Driver, Don Cheadle And Jodie Turner-Smith

Prior to this, it was announced that André 3000 had joined the cast of an A24 film titled Showing Up.

André 3000 is going to be in a Netflix movie. In a report from The Film Stage, 3000 has joined the cast of White Noise, a film being directed by Noah Baumbach (who also directed the Netflix movie Marriage Story starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson).

The film is currently being shot in Cleveland, with local outlet Cleveland Scene reporting how 3000 has been seen in the area accompanied by his trusty flute.

According to The Film Stage, White Noise is “A campus satire / oddball marriage comedy / horror story about industrialization,” centered around a professor named Jack Gladney. Gladney, played by Driver, is a professor of Hitler studies at a university referred to as The-College-on-the-Hill.

“His life as teacher of Hitler, husband to Babette, and father to four children / stepchildren is torn asunder by ‘the Airborne Toxic Event,’ a cataclysmic train accident that casts chemical waste over his town,” the report goes on to share about the film.

Greta Gerwig will be playing Driver’s wife, Babette. It’s unknown who 3000 will be playing the film; aside from him, Driver and Gerwig, Don Cheadle and Jodie Turner-Smith will also be starring in the movie.

This news follows another announcement made this year that the Outkast rapper had joined the cast of the A24 film Showing Up. According to a previous report, Showing Up “is a vibrant and sharply funny portrait of an artist on the verge of a career-changing exhibition. As she navigates family, friends and colleagues in the lead-up to her show, the chaos of life becomes the inspiration for great art.”
