The Dragon Ball series will be getting its 20th anime movie and explore the origin of power within the Saiyan species.

If you love hip-hop then surely you absolutely love anime. That might be a generalization, but c’mon, how many rappers have used Majin Buu, Goku, Super Saiyan and Trunks in a song these days. Look it up at Genius if you don’t believe us. Well, either way, Dragon Ball is beloved here @Okayplayer, and its creator, Akira Toriyama has made our day by announcing a new movie coming out for December 2018.

The last two movies, Battle of Gods and Resurrection ‘F’, did incredibly well at the box office. Following that was the immensely popular (and highly dissected) all-new TV series, Dragon Ball Super. With expectations for the as-yet-to-be-titled movie, the series original author, Toriyama-san, will be handling the script and character design for it.

The theme behind the new movie will be “The Strongest Warrior Race in the Universe, The Saiyans.” For those who don’t know Goku, one of the strongest characters in all of anime, has defied all the odds and beaten some pretty tough characters. This film will attempt to look at the “origin” of the Saiyan race and its power.

As Goku continues to evolve (we’re still waiting on the winner of that tournament in Dragon Ball Super), so does the Dragon Ball series. If you’re not excited for this, you might want to fuse with someone who is and get on board.
