A First Look At Ironheart From 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' Has Been Revealed

A sneak peek at Ironheart from Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been revealed, with the film's trailer releasing this month.

As we're months away from the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a first look at Marvel character Ironheart has arrived. Portrayed by Dominique Thorne, who starred 2018 drama If Beale Street Could Talk and last year's Judas and the Black Messiah, Riri Williams/Ironheart will take action in the Black Panthersequel, teaming up with Shuri, played by Letitia Wright.

Ahead of the film's first trailer, which will be released during the San Diego Comic-Con on July 23, a new image of Williams' superhero alter ego wears an MK1 suit similar to Iron Man's first MCU appearance. In the MCU, Williams lives with her mother and her aunt in Chicago before getting accepted to MIT at 15-years-old. Building her own version of Iron Man's armor suit, Tony Stark grants Williams the opportunity to follow in his footsteps as a new hero. The character first appeared in 2016 Marvel comic book Invincible Iron Man #7.

Following the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Throne will star in 2023 six-episode Disney+ series Ironheart, which began filming at Atlanta's Trilith Studios in June. Filming will also be held in Chicago, before wrapping in mid-October. With Black Panther franchise director Ryan Coogler serving as executive producer of the series, writer Chinaka Hodge will be the showrunner along with Dear White People director Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes directing the series.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to hit theaters November 11.
