T.I. Says He Has Five Classic Albums, 50 Cent Strongly Disagrees

T.I. recently spoke with Fat Joe about his catalog, 50 Cent quickly responded.

That T.I. and 50 CentVerzuz battle is likely not happening, but it's not stopping either artist from chirping back and forth. On a recent episode of The Fat Joe Show, T.I. and Joe spoke on their respective catalogs and most impactful albums. The subject quickly turned to 50.

T.I. acknowledged 50's Get Rich or Die Trying is a classic album, but says that's his only one.

"I love 50," he said. "That whole album is jammin. Top to bottom. Bruh, I got five classics. Three, if you're being conservative. I have five classics."

By Monday morning, word got back to 50. As per usual, he took to Instagram to address it. "The man said he got 5 classics," he wrote. "It's too early I'm going back to sleep."

In the last month, T.I. has repeatedly expressed his desire to go head-to-head against 50. Each time, 50 has declined, or deflected the conversation to non-musical aspects of each others' career. After wishing 50 a happy birthday recently, he once again respectfully asked to face off.

"We love POWER/For LIFE/BMF & everything u doin on [TV]," T.I. wrote on Instagram. Now pull up and catch this Trap Muzik fade big fella. Repost if you ain't scared of this nigga @50cent."

As far as numbers go, 50 Cent has the more top-heavy discography. Get Rich or Die Trying and The Massacre went nine times platinum and six times platinum, respectively. 50's third album, Curtis, went platinum as well.

T.I. has five platinum albums under his belt, starting with his sophomore album, Trap Muzik. His next four albums went platinum, with Paper Trail earning a three times platinum certification from the RIAA.

Chicago MC Mick Jenkins joined the conversation, wondering if anyone had that solid of a discography.
