50 Cent has had enough with STARZ. On Tuesday, the rapper-mogul put the network on notice that he plans on leaving and taking the Power franchise with him.
“This is me packing my stuff, STARZ,” 50 wrote as the caption. “Sucks, my deal is up over here I’m out. They Renewed High town and FORCE is the highest rated show they have it sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb shit I deal with over here. you would think they all went to school on a small yellow bus. “
He added follow-up photo of two suitcases with a plane in the background. “Hold my calls i’m traveling, [running emoji] [smoke emoji] getting the fuck away from STARZ,” he wrote, tagging his Cognac brand Branson Cognac.
In another post, he addressed Anil Kurian, Head of Development at G-Unit Film & Television, telling her to pack her bags.
“Anil get your fucking bag’s in the car now, we are out of here, take that fucking sign off the door no more G-unit film and television over here,” Fif wrote.
He continued his travel-oriented Instagram post streak, tell Josh Bramer, Director of Development at G-Unit Film & Television, and Michael Rainey Jr., who plays Tariq St. Patrick on Power Book II: Ghost to also pack their bags.
Could Fif be hinting at a mass exodus from STARZ to G-Unit Film & Television? 50 has had a long and complicated relationship with STARZ. He’s threatened to leave before, back in 2017. At the time he wrote on Instagram:
“If the biggest show on your net work doesn’t mean anything, what does your network mean STARZ? I’m taking my talents to south beach f*ck this.”
In other 50 news, he’s prepping upcoming WEtv docuseries Hip Hop Homicides. No word on whether his A Moment in Time: Murder Was the Case series with Snoop Dogg will still see the light of day on Starz.
