Bill Cosby Gets New Sexual Assault Lawsuit From Former Playboy Model

Former Playboy model Victoria Valentino has filed a sexual assault lawsuit against Bill Cosby, alleging that she was drugged and raped by him in 1969.

Six months after Bill Cosby was being accused of sexual assault by five women, former Playboy model Victoria Valentino has filed a new lawsuit against by the 85-year-old in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

In the lawsuit, which comes after California temporarily extended its statute of limitations in sexual assault cases with Assembly Bill 2777, Valentino claims that she was drugged and raped by Cosby in 1969. The former Playmate says they encountered each other at a Los Angeles restaurant when Cosby saw Valentino crying over the death of her six-year-old son. Valentino alleges that Cosby gave her a pill, saying it would make her “feel better.”

The 80-year-old woman says that she took the pill and allegedly “engaged in forced sexual intercourse” after becoming incapacitated by the drug, the lawsuit reads. A press release from Valentino’s attorney says that Cosby allegedly took advantage of her during a time of grief.

“The trauma he inflicted upon me affects not only me, but my children and grandchildren," Valentino said. "By breaking my silence and speaking my truth, I hope this serves as my legacy to my family, and shows those survivors who have yet to find their voices, that hope and healing are possible.”

Andrew Wyatt, a spokesperson for Cosby, gave a counterargument against the lawsuit, saying that Valentino “has skirted from town to town promoting her alleged allegations against Mr. Cosby.”

"It's unfortunate that the media has not vetted the inconsistencies in her many statements,” Wyatt said. “What graveyard can Mr. Cosby visit, in order to dig up potential witnesses to testify on his behalf? America is continuing to see that this a formula to make sure that no more Black Men in America accumulate the American Dream that was secured by Mr. Cosby."

In the last decade, Cosby has faced multiple sexual assault cases. In 2018, the disgraced actor and comedian was convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault after Temple University staff member Andrea Constand said he drugged her and sexually assaulted her in 2004. After serving more than two years of a three to 10 year sentence, Cosby’s conviction

was overturned, leading to his release in July 2021.
