The Weeknd Returns to Form on New New Metro Boomin-Produced Single “Heartless”

The single is his first release since 2018’s My Dear Melancholy.

That changed on Tuesday (November 26th) when he released “Heartless,” his new single, which was produced by Metro Boomin. The song was premiered on his Beats 1 radio show Memento Mori.

The track is a return to form for both. As the title suggests, the artist known as Abel Tesfaye is up to his old tricks. This isn’t PG-13 The Weeknd. This is House of Balloons Weeknd. The first line is, “Never need a bitch, I’m what a bitch need. Metro — who’s been producing more R&B tracks lately — provides a brooding, ambient backdrop.
