After Years of Delays, Lil Wayne Has Released 'Tha Carter V'

Lil Wayne has finally released Tha Carter V

It’s here. After years and years of pushbacks and courtroom drama, Lil Wayne has released Tha Carter V, the latest album in the rapper’s legendary Tha Carter series.

The album features appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, XXXTENTACION, and more. The album is the first Tha Carter album not to be released under the Cash Money umbrella.

Lil Wayne has been wrapped up in court drama with Birdman and Cash Money for years. However, earlier in the year, Lil Wayne settled his two lawsuits with Birdman, Cash Money Records, and Universal Music Group. (Wayne also received $10 million in the settlement.)

This is a monumental moment for Lil Wayne fans. Lil Wayne celebrated the release of the album, and his birthday, by throwing a lavish party at LA’s Hubble Studios.
