Flying Lotus Samples ‘Dragon Ball’ On New Song “Heroes Pt. 5”

The FlyLo cut concludes Adult Swim’s yearlong Singles project.

Producer Flying Lotus has released a new track. Titled “Heroes Pt. 5,” the almost three-minute-long song finds FlyLo sampling dialogue and sound effects from the Dragon Ball anime series. The track was a part of the Adult Swim Singles series.

Prior to this, FlyLo randomly released seven tracks to his SoundCloud. Six of the seven songs ended up being a part of the soundtrack for the Blade Runner Blackout 2022 animated film.

The Brainfeeder creator also soundtracked one of the episodes from the second season of Atlanta alongside frequent collaborator Thundercat. Turns out that show creator Donald Glover personally invited Thundercat to score the episode, according to a press release. Following that, the Drunk creator asked FlyLo to work with him on the composition.
