Harlem Rapper Neek Bucks Remakes JAY-Z' Iconic Hood Classic 'Streets is Watching'

Neek Bucks pays homage to a hood classic

JAY-Z' hood classic Streets is Watching turned 20 this year. The movie and soundtrack are still inspiring young rappers.

Harlem MC Neek Bucks has released his own homage to the iconic movie, in the form of a 20-minute short film. Neek's Streets is Watching features freestyles over JAY Classics likes "Where I'm From" and "Friend and Foe," as well as new original music (like "Ain't No Fun," his remake of Snoop Dogg'sDoggystyle classic.)

What makes this interesting is the fact that the Trackmasters, Tone and Poke, directed the movie. (Trackmasters worked with JAY during this era.)

The short film was premiered by Billboard. Speaking to the publication, Neek said:

I'm very interested in film and Streets is Watching is one of my favorite hip-hop classics, so I figured I’d combine the two.
