The cruising set is a celebration of the dog days of summer that clocks in just shy of the one hour mark. Stay hydrated!

It's 102 degrees outside, I just drank something like 80 ounces of water, I have 2 fans pointed in my direction, I'm full of fresh-cut mangoes, and I'm on a good one. 52 minutes of jams that even made me smile as I was laying this episode down.

Buscrates 16-Bit Ensemble - Home Again

Buscrates 16-Bit Ensemble celebrates his return to the Steele City with Home Again. His debut for Thrash Flow Records, the 13-track project is an emotive clinic in synthesizer and sample based production that maintains Buscrates' place as one of the underground kings of the funk.

“This tape gave me the chance to create without being beholden to any preconceived ideas of how it should sound. For much of this project, I would make something out of a few samples and then proceed to layer them with analog synthesizers. While not the only synth on deck, the Korg Minilogue played a significant role in creating these tracks. Some were made while living in Atlanta and the others were created back here in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA...hence the title 'Home Again'”
