M.I.A. is about to drop a new project, purportedly her last, so that she can focus on raising her child. M.I.A's last album was 2013's Matangi. In the buildup to the new album, which will be called AIM, we have been blessed with a new single called "Bird Song" scroll down to listen to it below. The choppy beat, interspersed with bird samples, is produced by Blaqstarr. And if you ain't feeling this version, one produced by Diplo seems to be on the way. "Bird Song" does indeed, as the title suggests, pack multiple bird references. M.I.A. raps in a laid back cadence, "Drop down and get your eagle on/like a falcon/ fly phenomena/ humming higher than a drone/doves cry..." See the full lyrics to the track below. About a month ago M.I.A. released the visuals to "Go Off" another Blaqstarrproduced track, this one aided bySkrillex. If you missed it or want to give it another viewing you can check the very literally explosive visuals and song here. After much back and forth, M.I.A. will not be performing at Afro Punk in London, but if you're in Europe you can still catch her a month later at Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris, France on October 27th.
