The internet is Going Crazy Over Billy Ray Cyrus’ Remix to Lil Nas X’ “Old Town Road”

Will this get on the country charts?

A week after it was reported that Lil Nas X‘ viral hit “Old Town Road” was kicked off the Billboard Country charts for, essentially, not being country enough, the young Atlanta-rapper released a remix to the track. The remix features country legend Billy Ray Cyrus (best known for his no. 1 single “Achy Breaky Heart.”)

Billy Ray has been one of the only country artists to publically throw his support behind Lil Nas X. On Wednesday he tweeted:

The remix features Billy Ray adding a verse. On the track he sings (or raps?):

Hat down, cross town, livin’ like a rockstar. Spent a lot of money on my brand new guitar. Baby’s got a habit, diamond rings and Fendi sports bras. Ridin’ down Rodeo in my Maserati sports car

After the song was released, fans on Twitter about the track, sending out memes in support of Billy Ray’s new verse (which some are calling verse of the year):
