Michaela Coel's award winning comedy series Chewing Gum has a new trailer. Season two of the show will be out on January 12th, 2017 at 10pm. The show will premiere on the UK broadcaster Channel E4. No information regarding when the comedy series will be available in the United States has been released. The second season was ordered on December 3rd. The first season premiered on October 6th, 2015. Coel won a British Academy Television Award (BAFTA) for Best Female Performance In A Comedy Programme and Breakthrough Talent for her role in season one of Chewing Gum. The six episodes of season one are currently available on Netflix. Chewing Gum is based on Coel's one-woman show Chewing Gum Dreams. Chewing Gum follows the story of a shop assistant by the name of Tracey Gordon in London who is a repressed by her deeply religious upbringing. The series stars and was written by Michaela Coel. The show also stars Robert Lonsdale, Susan Wokoma, Danielle Walters and Tanya Franks.
