Frank Ocean Offers Wisdom To Tyler The Creator in Clip From 'Cherry Bomb' Doc Premiere
It’s been a fairly quiet year for Tyler The Creator. Following the release of his 2015 album Cherry Bomb, the Odd Future co-founder could only be found assisting others on their own new projects. He’s listed as a contributor on Frank Ocean‘s blond(e)d (even wrote a poem for the Boys Don’t Cry zine) and was featured on fellow Odd Future founder Matt Martians‘ new album The Drum Chord Theory. He also one-upped Zayn Malik by releasing a wildly-enjoyable remix of “Pillow Talk” after the One Direction singer failed to appear at a session.
But back to Tyler and Frank for a second. We’ve seen the well-documented escapades of the duo before; street-racing in LA ahead of the arrival of Endless, prominently assisting in the creation of one another’s projects over the years. At the top of 2017, Frank made an appearance at the LA premiere of Mikey Alfred‘s Cherry Bomb documentary, from which footage has just been compiled and thrown to the internets, where can be found offering Tyler some wisdom on fan letters.
The film will see its’ NYC premiere on Thursday, March 24th, at Webster Hall’s The Studio, featuring performances from Show Me The Body, Leven Kali, Taco and a special guest (our bet’s on Tyler, here.)
