Terrace Martin Drops The Gorgeous Visuals To "Oakland" Ft. Lalah Hathaway

Grammy award winning musician Terrace Martin has dropped the stunning visuals for the track "Oakland" featuring Lalah Hathaway. The visuals are comprised of beautiful shots of Oakland as Hathaway sings about The Town. The video was directed by Lola Ridgell and produced by Aplusfilmz. The music video premiered on Billboard and was accompanied by an interview with Martin. In the interview, Martin spoke about collaborating with his father on his latest record, being nominated for a Grammy, and much more. Head to Billboard to read the full interview. The track "Oakland" is featured on Terrace Martin's Grammy nominated album Velvet Portraits. The album packs features from Robert Glasper, Thundercat, Kamasi Washington, the aforementioned Lalah Hathaway, Tiffany Gouche, and more. Velvet Portraits, which runs fourteen tracks long, dropped back in April of 2016. The album was released on Martin’s label Sounds of Crenshaw Records via Ropeadope Records. "Places like Oakland and Baltimore, in my opinion, are the heartbeats of black America," Martin remarked to Billboard. "I believe Oakland is so rich in culture, spirit and hustle, and it's such an important city to me because the characteristics that I love about Oakland really put it all together."
